PARENTS' RIGHT-TO-KNOW
Federal Title I Program

Dear Parents/Guardians,

As a parent of a student attending a Title I school, you have the right to know information about the professional qualifications of your child's classroom teachers and paraprofessionals. This notice is provided to you in accordance with the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), Section 1112(e)(1)(A).

Upon your request, the school district will provide information regarding the professional qualifications of your child's classroom teacher(s), including:

  • Whether the teacher has met state certification and licensure requirements for the grade levels and subject areas in which the teacher provides instruction;

  • Whether the teacher is teaching under emergency or other provisional status through which state qualification or licensing criteria have been waived;

  • The college major of the teacher and any graduate certification or degree held by the teacher

  • Whether your child receives services from paraprofessionals and, if so, their qualifications.

In addition, you will be notified if your child has been assigned to or taught for four (4) or more consecutive weeks by a teacher who does not meet applicable state certification or licensure requirements for the grade level and subject area in which the teacher has been assigned.

Our school and district are committed to providing a high-quality education for all students and value the partnership between home and school. We encourage parents and families to become actively involved in their child's education and in the activities offered through our Title I program.

If you would like to request information regarding the qualifications of your child's teacher or paraprofessional, please contact the school principal.

Thank you for your continued support and involvement in your child's education.

Sincerely,

Amy Bryant
